Your opinion isn't quite right... Yes, we aren't supposed to shelve-out any operational info [not just in Egypt - ditto for every country] - but no one stops us from writing the unit's name [sans the Numeric] & APS [Army Postal Service] code. That's what the CIC Apps Forms desire, nothing more.

Later u'd get a Military Questionnaire -- that can be addresed likewise too. And remember, u r not alone -  there r many Ex-Military Officers amongst us here... some from Egypt as well.

Im Egyptian and im not agree with what you said . because in your passport they already mentioned that your military services completed and you have to get approval from army before travel to any country, which means that you did you army service right?
Also the immigration will know when you write in the application for what you did since you graduate, becuase what you will write for the period after graduation, what job you did ??will you fake it? also what you can do ?you should mentioned that you did your mandatory army for this period and you will submit copy from this army certificate ... because Canada immigration already know that Egypt have the mandatory army for men after graduation...Dont worry just write it.
