Why don't you just open an account with Bank in UAE and have some savings deposited in.... that could sort your issue out till you apply!!
What about your international bank account, why ther are not accepting to provide you with statement?

thx for the reply mef, thats my mistake i cannot withdraw also my money in the phils and have it send it to me eventhough i authorize my sister to do so.. but i requested an online certificate..just an email sent to me that stating my account balance and also i send my passbook and have it updated.. what my plan is, I just photocopy my passbook showing the remaining balnce and just provide a wriiten explanation to quebec. I dont know if it will suffice coz ive read in some thread also that if u cannot provide a certain document just provide a written expalnation.. what do u thnk mef? ur reply is greatly appreciated. merci I already finished attending level a1 at alliance beginner's class. planning to take further classes in the future if w/ enough time and money. But I dont yet have ielts.

That's correct, written explanation for an missin document would enough for Quebec.
Bravo that you have started A1, just go ahead and do more, IELTS is not so complicated, I had it last year and got 7/9 total.

I am also living in Dubai and applied for QSW. I have sent my application on 20th of march 2011 thru DHL and it has been recieved by Damascus.
how long should it take to receive a file number? even the processing fee has not been charged.
can anyone shed a light on this what might be going on....
and can someone tell about average processing time.initially i didnt send any documents regarding french but now i have registered myself with Alliance du francias for the beginner course.

Im also concerned in damascus as my  visa office since right now it seems there is a chaos there..might affect the processing times, I initialy applied at premiers but planning to send my application on my own.. welcome kfzm! glad that u already mailed ur application..mineni thnk this mon. surely.. |

@ Genona, I have taken General IELTS got 7/9, my G/F took Acadamic and got 7.5/9 but English is her third and French is second Language.
@ Kfzmm, welcome to the thread body, under normal circumstances, it took us 45 days to get AOR & File number
We have filed our applications under comon-law partners as we have been in relation for 4 years and living together, got to proof and sumbitt massive load of documents to both Damas office and now the same, we have been requested o proof our relationship by many means to Abu Dhabi, but finally passed all requirements.
Hoping to get our medical forms soon, our on-line status says IN-PROCESS now!!!!!
