I have a problem if you have any idea or suggestion for how I could manage this situation would be very appreciative. If you are familiar the working environment of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia then I hope you will be able to help me.
 
1 - I came here from Pakistan by purchased the visa (independent visa in which you are free from sponsor to work anywhere in KSA by mutual understanding) you know mostly people in KSA have been coming like this, and then work with another employer other than sponsored. The same situation I am facing. I came here on 6thNovember 2008 on “Tailor” visa and unfortunately 16 days I spent jobless afterward got a job in a reputed IT company  as an Accountant and working with them since 23rd November 2008 to present without took transfer from my sponser. I am working here as an accountant whereas profession written “Taylor” on my visa and same on Iqama (Resident Permit), please advice how to manage this???

2 - I was unemployed during 6th November 2008 to 22nd November 2008 here in KSA, so what should I mention in the background history, should I write “unemployed”?

Now this is very anxious for me, CIC requests in checklist that if I am on work permit so I have to send copy of my visa...but things are quite different on my visa ...CHC-London may asked how were you unemployed as you were hired by one of the sponsor from KSA? How could I manage 16 days unemployment on background history? How could I justify that I am working with another employer other than my sponsored?? Please advise if you have any suggestion.

Nimmiboy....im wrking in KSA as an accountant but the IKAMA (residence permit) mentioned my occupation as  oil rig supervisor. What I did is an explanation why it is different. In my case i have the same employer.

I suggest you explain that to them that you have a different sponsor instead of the company you are working on that period or this period.  It is better to explain to them the scenarios you are facing.

6 days unemployed?? you may take it as your personal vacation and no need to explain to them.

Am I really considered a pre-Feb2008 (SAP) or a post-Feb2008 (New rule) applicant?

Looks to me like you're a pre-feb 2008 applicant since you applied in Oct 2007.

Hi CPA2CANADA,
I m also a London office applicant of 2007 from KSA.I ve got one question for u.As u ll be knowing tht the IQAMA n KSA visa on passport are both in arabic (with some terms in english) so before submitting the visa/iqama , ve u got it translated n notarized or u ve just send the copy of your visa/iqama?
Any advice ll be highly appreciated.

hi Guys just a quick question.........If a person is working in the middle east and applies from New Delhi office, once he gets his visa stamped can he fly to Canada from India or he need to fly from the middleast?? And what if he applies in the Middle east can he fly to Canada from his home country (India)

once you have the visa stamped, you can go to canada from wherever you wish.  doesn't matter in which visa office you applied.

to anyone who just filed their initial application to CIO...note that they are rejecting the whole application if you accidentally put Sydney Nova Scotia in the VISA OFFICE REQUESTED for the process of your application...(IMM 0008)

my friend just received her rejection letter after 60 days saying that

"You did nto indicate the visa office requested for the process of your application. Please note Sydney CIO is not a valid selection"

I am just blessed that my application proceeded when i submitted it last May though it contains "Sydney Nova Scotia" in the visa office requested tab..

i told my friend to resubmit everything again to CIO and just change that tab to "Manila, Philippines"

Intending to apply under FSW, cat-1, presently working in saudia arabia with an employer which is not my sponsered, I mean my employer's/sponsered name on my visa is different of my current employer. Working with current employer without taking transfer of my previous employer (but can take transfer any time from prev. emp. if requested by current employer). I m on valid resident visa.
Please inform this may be a cause of rejection of my application?

im from KSA....but have the same employer in the IKAMA and the employment certificate....i suggest you just explain it once you submit your full docs....but for now to apply in Nova scotia, this information is not needed.....

What you suggest to me, what could I write in my explanation letter to CHC-London regarding my situation, I mean how can I describe my situation? please helppppp

explain the true scenario why you have a different sponsor....i think they will be more concerned with your current job and its proof like certificate of employment and others....anyway this will take effect once you are ready to submit the full docs...but for now....you can go ahead in applying in CIO and let us just wait and see....
