Hello guys,

My file number is dated on 17/04/2007 in London. I sent my medical test forms on 11/09/2009. On 25/10/2009, I received a visa notification and asked to submit my passports. I submitted my passports on 27/09/2009. The passports stayed in London for two months. I emailed CHC to ask about the situation. they emailed me back saying " Further background checks are needed before visa issuance". I asked them to send me the passports since I needed them to travel to my home country. They sent me the passports without the visa. I am really confused and worried. Was the visa really issued or did they ask the passports to check them for security purposes. I haven't got the visa till now. Is this a good sign or a bad one? Is this normal? When do I expect to get the visa?  Please advice.

Regards.

Bro,

The situation u described is not a question of good or Bad. It is a question of misfortune & for sure your timeline has gone wonky now.

It's never a good idea to ask for our pps from the CHC, once they have gone for visa stamping [if u really wanted it for an imdt travel, it stands justified though]. And in such cases the CHC, more often than not, send the pps back 'unstamped'. There r many cases on this forum & elsewhere too, where that occurred.

Plz note that, in your case the CHC did ask for the pps for Visa stamping only. Now that it has come back w/out it, u'll have to submit it again. And remember, no further communication on that matter will come from the CHC. It'll be in your interest to send the pps back asap.

Qorax.
Ps.: Yes, sometimes the CHC does some security check [part of the b/ground checks] once they receive the actual pps. Thus, the CHC email reply to u was correct.

Guys,
Its time that one year of submission of my documents will complete in FSW process and still no request for Medical.

Can anyone advise me what documents i'll be requested to reproduce after one year.

IELTS?
Police Certificates?
Bank Statements?
Photos?
any additional forms?

Any suggestions so that i prepare them well in advance.

Quite probably they will not ask any of those again... when the case in just a yr old.

With meds the following might be asked though:
-Latest pp size pics
-Latest POF [1 x month Bank statement shall suffice].
-Might be another set of PCC.

To: penpal

On the 'Info Update form' u can split your name into 'surname' first & 'first-name' later.

I guess this is the way your communications from CHC is also being done.
