Dear SJ2009,
Nothing to worry, your case is normal. I've read elsewhere in the forum that even delayed medicals are acceptable by the CHC London, provided you write to them and give them expected date of Medicals to be received by them.

Trust this helps.

Hi All I am new in this forum

I applied for permanent residence on August 11, 2008 CIC London through Legal Consultants and received a letter on December 18, 2008 from Nova Scotia. I submitted my full application in third week of April to London Office. When I check my status online it is showing "we started processing on June 9, 2009" so I want to know when I can get my medical paper.

Application Send London        Aug 11, 2008
CIO AOR                             Dec 18, 2008
London AOR                        Dec 23, 2008
FULL DOCS to London           Apr 18, 2009
ECAS STAT "IN PROCESS"     June 9, 2009 (Review Completed)

Thanks

FSW 0213

Well, at last I received a letter from London CHC after submission of Full Docs back in Mar 2009. Here is what has been requested to be submitted within 60 days.

1. Wife's Original Degree Certificates and Transcripts
2. Explanation for Daughter's Birth Certificate - not being issued from the same city/country as other kids (Must be mistaken)

I have following questions:

1. Does this mean all other submitted documents are accepted
2. How long will it take after submission of additional docs to get Medical Request
3. Is the Immigration Officer mistaken to ask about my daughter's Birth Certificate issuance from same city as other kids, since she was born in another country and town.
4. Shall I order CAIPS notes to know exactly about my status and points... Since I definetly score 65 + 8 (Adaptibility) including wife education and relative in Canada. They already called my wife's uncle to confirm whether he lives in Canada.

Please Advise ASAP...

Thanks,

Dear Mjm,
Your case isn't alarming. The only issue that should worry you is with processing of additional documents your case may get a bit more delayed.

The request of documents at this stage means that they have already checked other documents and proofs but are not clear about few issues which they usually request as they requested from you. So cheers, if you are able to provide them these (which to me seems easy) then the next step definitely will be interview (if waived) then medical.

With regard to your question how long will it take. It usually depend on the bring forward dates. It would be wise that you request the CAIPS one month after you submit your requested documents.

Hi Biblio,

Do you have any idea how long will CIC (London) responds to CAIPS request? I think rather than asking queries through e mail about status of the application, in my opinion asking it thru CAIPS is a better and the proper option to do. And since, we pay for it, I don't think this will cause delay with our application. What do you think? Have you tried asking CAIPS notes? If you did, kindly share it with me if you don't mind?

Hi,

I recd the request for additional docs namely Landing fees and passport photos on aug'11,09.I submitted them in the last week of aug'09.

My ecas status as under:
Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on March 16, 2009.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 28, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the London England office on April 1, 2009. The London England office may contact you.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on August 11, 2009.

My question is:
1.Does this mean no more docs from my side.
2.Normally Medical request and landing fee request is made at the same time. But in my case i m still waiting for the medicals.Does anybody know about this.Any expereince, pls share.
3.How much time will it take for the medicals from now onwards.

Noc - 0111

Thanks

Hi Guys,
I need your help in clarifying the below mentioned. I applied for Canadian immigration in March 2009 under skilled immigration category (Code: 0111) and received a reply from CHC stating my file number (starting B0xxxxxxxx) with a request to send complete application form and supporting docs (full package) with a deadline of 08th August 2009.

Till this time (before sending the complete application package with docs) whenever I checked the status of my application online at e-cas it stated "Eligibility Review Complete by sydney office" and in description it said
" We received your application for permanent residence on March 23, 2009.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on April 6, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us"

I submitted all the docs in July (Full Package).
Note: I added my wife at this stage and and sent a draft with all relevant docs and additional forms.

Now its been approx 3 months since I submitted my docs. When I go online for checking the status it says

Applicant Name          PR Application Status
My Name                  In Process
My Name                  Application Received

Further description under "In Process" states tht
"We received your application for permanent residence on March 23, 2009."

and under "Application Received" It states:
"We received your application for permanent residence on March 23, 2009.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on April 6, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

My question is that
Is this normal? They have not mentioned whether they have received my full application package. Neither any time frame or acknowledgment letter being sent to me.

Kindly inform at what stage is my application. Anything to worry about? When should I expect a medical request etc. Are there any chances for additional documents requirement...

I'll be very grateful to you

Swattoo,
What you wrote about your status is NORMAL and in exactly the same sequence as many applicants for London office come across.

Your status is exactly what is shown to most of the applicants for London Office so sit back and relax and wait for further decision.

CAIPS Notes
Dear Aspire,
I applied for CAIPS notes two times, here under is my experience
1- It takes 6-7 weeks to be issued from date of application.
2- If you apply today, your CAIPS will be printed today pending decision and you'll receive your notes after 45 days showing the status of your files as of today's date. It means if you apply for CAIPS on 1st October, you'll receive your CAIPS on 20th November showing the status of 1st October.
3- A note on your file will be added that the person requested CAIPS notes. I suspect the delay thing in it, but i am not sure.
The reason i suspect the delay is because it adds 10 line statement in remarks section of your file, which may add confusion as compare to a clean file. I personally requested CAIPS 2 times, so addition of 20-25 lines.
These lines states that the Canada office is requesting London office to print the status and a decision will be made blah blah.
4- CAIPS however undoubtedly shows the status of your file.e.g you have cleared the Paper Screening or meet the 67 score or what is pending from you or your medicals are status passed or not or Interview is required or deffered etc depending on which status your file is hanging.
5- It may so happen that nothing is happening with your file pending Background checks etc, so you may not be able to interpret what conclusion should be taken.
6- Finally if you can't have patience and suspect that your score might be low or can't wait for London office for so long to contact you, CAIPS will help show you your file status.

Finally if you need advise on your CAIPS, let me know or send them to me and i'll share my experience with you.

Hope this clarifies all your queries on CAIPS.
