Hey,
I wish to start a forum for all friends who applied from Middle East to London CIC office.
This is applicable to applicants applied under new rules of Feb 2008. All expatriates working in Middle East including Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Masqat can participate.
Can we discuss our Timelines? And updates we receive from CIC london.

Thanks guys for your response. My time line is also on the trackitt.com and it seems we are riding the same boat. As per simple calcs mjm should be the fist one to offload the waiting boat.

I believe the 12-15 months count as claimed by CIC should start from E-Status file processing date. You guys can put a good guess by calculating your schedule backward.

For example ABC states that his/her E-Status file processing starts in June 2009. So 15 months from June will be Aug 2010. We can safely assume that ABC receive his/her passport stamped by Aug 2010, that means CIC must request medicals from ABC at least 2-3 months prior to passport stamp i-e May-June 2010. The updated document/additional document request should be at least two months prior to it i-e March 2010. So the original set of Document request could be 4 months prior to it i-e Dec 2009. The AOR could be 2-3 months before submission of Original Document set i-e Sep 2009.

With my calculation anyone who received AOR in Aug/Sep 2008 should receive their Medical request (the latest)in Aug/Sep 2009.

What do you think? Please throw in your comments and logic.

Do you guys agree with my backward schedule estimates...?

Hi Biblio,

AS far as I know, CIC promised 6-12 months processing for the new applicants under the new rules. My consultant's estimate is that medicals will be requested 3 months after submitting full application, and 3 months after submitting the medicals, you will receive PPR. This timeline is based from the experiences of their other clients who applied ahead of me. This is at least the time line of applicants submitting to London CIC.

Pammi,
Usually applicants from all over the Middle East apply directly to London Office, how come your response came from Nova Scotia?
Have they asked you to submit all documents or you are submitting of your own?

By the way its seems true that the new FSW applicant system is also sluggish and as i stated the estimate in this forum most of applicants from Middle East should receive their Medical request by now, otherwise CIC may not catch up with clearance of applicants in 12-15 months.

I can only wish that our applications do not fell in second generation of backlog.

If anyone applied from KSA pls confirm that Employment Contract and Reference letter from Current employer both are need to be chamber of commerce or only EC?

Is it necessary that documents need to be attested by Chamber of Commerce only? or any other authority in Saudi Arabia can also do the same. Pls answer if anyone gone through this procedure.

Regards

Hey Middle East forum,
Also let me know if you are facing the same problem. I receive the Documents or request from CIC London after a month. The envelop and post reaches me almost after one month from their date of letter issued.

So if they ask me for any documents within 60 days, the 30 days are already passed and i have to arrange it in balance 30 days.

Are you guys facing the same problem?

You have to send the docs from the date of the letter.. If your falling behind then write to them and request an extension via email, explaining that you received the letter 30 days late of smgth..
