Hello all- As many of you are probably aware, the CAP for FSWs starts over on JUly 1, 2011. I was wondering, do I need to wait until 7/1/11 to mail my application as to not have it returned since the CAP has already been met for 6/30/11 for Registered Nurses? Or, is the critical date when the CIO receives my application. FOr example. will my application be accepted if I mail it 6/29/11 and the CIO receives it 7/2/11?

I was hoping to get a jump as soon as possible so that I can get in under the 1,000 limit for the fiscal year 7/1/11.

Thanks for the help.

The "critical date" is the date of being received at CIO.  With 1 July being a stat holiday for Canada Day, I expect the first working day will be Monday, 4 July.  Is it possible for a Courier to guarantee delivery on a SPECIFIC DAY?

Thanks for the info. I will probably be OK mailing it or having it guarantee delivery on July 4th. I am fairly sure that the quota of 1,000 registered nurses will not be met for at least a few months into the new period. I may be wrong. In that case, I will have to secure employment to overcome the quota problem. Thanks again.
