Aww.. WestJet's customer service is one of the reasons they are my favourite airline. We will be using WestJet when we fly her here.
I love that they have a sense of humor. They crack me up!

I fly westjet as well, from Puerto Vallarta.  They have always been several hundred dollars most times cheaper than air canada for flights to Vancouver or Comox. Love their customer service as well, they are so thorough Smiley

Edgar, I am LOVING your cat!  Mine has a lot of hair too and I think that might be a great idea shaving her hair off for the summer lol. I felt a bit ridiculous as i've never done it before, did you get it done at a vet or something? LOLwill have to check into that!

Have a wonderful trip Smiley   Enjoy yourself ... and maybe bring back a few things you'll enjoy (and he will later on too).

Hopefully you get your sponsorship approval Monday morning when you are together Cheesy

These are just some thoughts based on the information available, what I've read, and my experience.  I am not an expert; if you want the facts, cic.gc.ca has a wealth of information.  Good luck with your application!  Hope you have a wonderful day *smile*

Hi!  The building is grey and tall.  You won´t miss it, there are lots of people lined up outside and has a bunch of police standing outside!

If you are taking public transportation you can take the metrobus and get off at the station ¨Piedad¨ you only have to walk a few blocks from there.

We went to get the visa today!

It was very simple.  We got to the embassy at like 8:30 and dropped off the passport with a cell number and our address in Canada.  Then they told us to come back between 3 and 4. Make sure you guys print 2 copies of the PPR because they keep one when you hand in the passport, and then they ask for another copy when you go to pick it up!

So we went back at 3 and there were a bunch of people there waiting to get their visas.  You don´t need to take a number when you go for the passport! (we were kind of confused about this lol).

Anyways so they were calling out people´s names and they gave us the passport with the visa in it, the confirmation of permanent residence (which they were really clear about telling us to not write anything on that until you get to the airport at customs, or else you will have to re-do the whole visa application!!)  and they also gave us some papers with info about health care and finding jobs etc...  Then she gave us back pictures and stuff that we sent in as proof.

This is so exciting! We can't wait until it is our turn!

Not too long, maybe about 2 to 3 weeks I believe.
