Hello!,

My wife and I (her canadian -- Jenny, me mexican -- Adrian) have just started the immigration process.

We got married in August 08 and started the process on Sept 18. Still no answer ... of any kind.

I'm hoping we receive a notification that they at least received it in Mississauga any time soon Smiley
Hey Adrian, you should be hearing from Mississauga in a couple of weeks.
Good luck with your application  Cheesy

hi everybody

i just dropped my constancia de antecedentes registrales in the embassy 5 days ago. i receivied the letter aug 20th in the mail. at this time i was out of mexico city because i was having a little honey moon with my husband in Sayulita , Mex. I came back to mexico city in Sep 9th  and i opened the letter and that  one was dated july 27th and i noticed i just had 60 days since the date of the letter. the criminal record take 10 days besides was a long weekend in mexico for independence day celebrations . so stressful !!!! i wrote an email to embassy asking for a couple days explaning a i receivied the letter 3 weeks after they gave me 40 days more . finally i made it 2 days after of the 60 days.

my husband and i are heading down to the coast. we are waiting most of the process together in puerto escondido .

Hey hoples...enjoy your time in Puerto Escondido, I´ve never been there but I know its beautiful.
Perfect place to relax and wait for the PR  Smiley

Hey thanks for the good wishes guys!!

Im so ready to be with hubby and am almost done packing...but...I think my luggage will be overweight  Shocked with all the winter clothes im bringing I think it will definitely be more than the 23kl (52lb) the airline allowed. trying to pack all seems like a mission impossible at the moment.

Cant wait for the real cold; call me crazy but I miss it and miss the snow so much, my husband calls me "pingüino" because of it. LOL

I will keep you posted Wink

You can always pay additional to bring more pieces of luggage with the airline. You are allowed 2 pieces with Delta for free I believe, but that's via USA.

Hello guys from Mexico, I'm Mexican and my file has been transfered to there after the sponsorship approval, can somebody share their time lines? I don't know how long will take there? How is the Mexican office? I just want to be aware and prepared in case of an interview! I'm currently in Canada and I'm concern about the carta de antecedentes registrales de la PGR, is everybody asked for it? I know to many questions but I really want all this to be done and be a happy resident! Thank you in advance and good luck!!!

I think you will actually need Informe de Antecedentes Registrales as you're currently living in Canada. The embassy will contact you with the information they need to process this police certificate in your behalf.
What I did was send the required documents for Informe de Antecedentes Registrales with my initial application. I don't know if this will actually save me time, but it's worth a try. I sent 3 sets of fingerprints, passport sized pictures and an additional photocopy of my passport's bio-page.

Thanks you bonbon it us good too see you here too! I should've known about the fingerprints before, now I just have to wait for them to contact me, so you think I would not need to go to Mexico just to get that letter? I guess the embassy can request to the PGR right? Good luck with your fingerprints!!! Thanks for posting!

Hi GT25!

I don't think you need to go to DF. Even if they asked you to get the Carta de Antecedentes Registrales you would be able to ask someone to do it for you. My mother called the PGR and they told her she would be able to get it for me. I was about to ask her to do it when I found out we actually need Informe de Datos Registrales because I'm living in Canada, so I decided not to bother my mother and just wait for the Embassy to contact me. I still sent the fingerprints, pictures and passport's bio-page, who knows it might save us some time!

Successfully made it to Canada Cheesy and waiting now for the rest of the application with my hubby and really hopping Im not called for an interview.

GT25...I first heard from Mexico visa office by email about 10 days after we got approved the sponsorship...and then got the same letter on the mail. In that letter I got requested the PGR carta de antecedentes..but if you are not living in Mexico there is a way to get them aswell. I guess you should wait for the instrctions but maybe a good idea if you go ahead and look what you could need if they request it..here's the website http://www.pgr.gob.mx/TransFoc/antecedentes%20registrales.asp

Good luck!!

Quick question Smiley

Once the file has been transferred to Mexico City, do they communicate through email with the applicant? Or the sponsor?
How do you guys know when your file was transferred? Is it supposed to be found in eCAS?

Thanks!!
