Hello,
We are in the process of getting our application together and are targeting a November application date to CPC Mississauga. (Outland, Family class/Spouse)
My understanding is that the meds and the police certs are done after application and we will receive notice from Mexico City to get them done, is this correct?
I believe ours is a fairly straight forward case as we have been together for many years and were married earlier this year.
We are confused on the different time lines I have seen on the CIC website and the Mex DF embassy website. Which one is more accurate?

Well it does say "6 months IF PR fee is paid from the beginning", so my guess is 80% of the applications who paid the PR fee from the beginning get it done in 6 months or less.
From what I can tell, while there have been a few lucky cases where it took 3-4 months, for most people it's 5-8 months, and it is very dependant on the circumstances.

Also police certs and medicals are done after submission right? My understanding is that the Embassy will request this information and that it should not be part of the original application. Is this correct ?

You need to submit Mexican STATE police certificates and medicals with your initial application. You have to submit police certificates for any other country where the applicant has lived for 6 months or more after his 18th birthday.

Yes, but not with your initial application. The visa office where you submit your application will contact you when they need this information. How and where do I obtain one? You will need to provide both: • a federal police certificate and • a state police certificate.” Does one need a state certificate from every state where one lived for more than 6 mos after 18 y/o or just from the current state of residence? One from every state where you lived for more than 6 months after your 18th birthday. This rule applies to any police certificate that you need to provide. And when they say “you will need to submit both the certificate and the original copy of the translation prepared by an accredited translator” is that a traductor perito autorizado por el estado?

HELLO GUYS ;)FINALLY WE GOT THE LETTER ASKING FOR MY PASSPORT  I CANT BELIEVE IT ILL GO AND PICK IT UP SOON AS I CAN , IS GREAT THAT WE ARE IN THE END OF THIS LONG PROCESS. Hi! 1. Yes she does, she needs to submit STATE police certificates for every place where she has lived for 6 months or more since her 18th birthday. The FEDERAL police certificate will be requested once her file reaches Mexico VO. 2. You can order the receipt and they will mail it to you, then you can pay at any bank. Check the details on CIC's webpage. 3. Yes.

Yes, one for every province/state she's lived in for longer than 6 months since she's 18, and each police certificate needs to be translated. 2- how can i pay the fees if i don't have visa card to pay it through online ? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.aspBasically: If you cannot or do not want to pay online, you must get an original receipt of payment form IMM 5401 so you can pay at a financial institution (such as a bank or Western Union). This form is not available online, so you must order an original receipt by mail.
You must include a copy of this receipt when you apply.
3- do she have to make the medical to attach it to the application ? Yes, there's a list of Designated Medical Practitioners (DMP) within Mexico she needs to check and choose one of them. She will need to print the Appendix regarding the medical test in the Part C : Country Specific Forms (Latin America), and take it to the DMP of her choice with some pictures and a wad of cash. Beware that the canadian government is quite strict about this test or so we were told by our DMP, so she must go when she's in perfect health. In my case I had a light urinary tract infection and we had our medical test delayed until I showed no signs of it anymore. Which was like 5 days later but still, annoying. thank you very much

thanks jandrian but about the police certificate she did the state one and she translated to English and its only for 1 month and i heard that the papers takes at least 2 month until they open it and check it,, if u have any explanation please tell me cause also some other people say the police certificate is after u send the application and they ask for it so im confused is it after or before about the medical i didnt get your point if u can explain more please i appreciate sorry for asking a lot thanks for your help

A list of DMPs can be found here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspxJust go through with it until you find Mexico, which should send you here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=2041&CountryName=MexicoContact the DMP of your choice (or have her contact the DMP), and ask him/her what you need to do. They know the drill. My warning was: if you go to get your Medical Exam while you have a cold or something light like that, it WILL delay your application. Your wife needs to prove she's in perfect health, that means no colds, no coughs, no addictions, and sadly for me, no light urinary tract infections either! haha

last question please im in montreal, do i need special document to send it to quebec if yes where is it , and when should i send it is it after the main application or before
