I am in a state of depression befitting a thorough self-pitying long term wallow in high end dark chocolate:

For permanent resident applications, it normally takes 3 months after our medical office receives the medical examination results from the Designated Medical Practitioner before we will contact you regarding the next stage of your application. This is true only if you have already complied with our other requests (e.g. to submit other documents).

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/mexico-mexique/visas/medical-medicaux.aspx?lang=eng&view=d

Please, by some miracle, may this NOT be true for RE-medicals!!!!

Ours was much less - meds done early April, passport request June 1st, and that's with the police check submission in the middle of that time period, too.  Maybe that number is for other PR apps like skilled worker and the like where medicals are requested at the end?

It's always time for chocolate!

I had a PR dream last night where I showed up for my partner's interview in Mexico City instead of him because the interview was requested after he got his PR card.  Everyone was using typewriters and paper files, it was bizarre.

I maintain that CIC should be paying therapy fees for immigration induced post-traumatic stress disorder.

Quick question, how many photos are we suppose to submit of the applicant, on the specific guide for Mexico it says 8, on the forum it says 9, now I am confused, and we are just about to go - help! lol

Do you think we'll have to redo the police checks for Mexico?   Hubby hasn't left the country so the FBI theoretically won't be a re-do.

That's a good question, it doesn't mention police check re-do's anywhere. I haven't seen a lot of people having to do re-do them anywhere on the forum, but I also haven't been looking.

They might eventually get your husband to re-do the form that lists employers, schools, etc. since the time of when the application was submitted. Perhaps based on that CIC would decide?

We submitted 8 too.

We submitted 8, too.  Got some of them back with the passport (maybe 4) in the exact same envelope we sent them (well-travelled,this envelope).    I can't remember if we had to use them when he landed.  A few of these photos also showed up on the medical re-do form.
