What they mean is are you a member of some kind of club or organization.  Member of a book club, Amnesty International, Greenpeace etc.  Or do you belong to a union or a trade organization etc.

If you are a member of any organization (professional, social, charitable, political or cultural, etc.) for instance, Council of Architecture, Institution of Engineers, Consulting Engineers Association, Lions Club, Rotary Club, Doctors without Borders, Engineers without Borders, Greenpeace, etc. That is what should go there.
I think the certificates from Cisco and Microsoft fall under certifications or Continuing Professional Development and should go into your education columns. But Senior members of the forum should know better.

So this means that I cannot add my certificate under this filed, Where should I mention I have these certificates ? Does it have positive effect while processing my application ?
