Yes, it's pretty frustrating.
I just wanted to add that, while I don't know the particulars for your case, MPs will often not agree to help if it looks like one's processing time is fairly routine. I don't know if that's the case with your inland application. I also suggest ordering FOSS notes before contacting an MP in the future because that is another layer of information on the processing of your file that you are able to get without yourself or anyone doing an inquiry with the immigration officer working on your file.
Our file was transferred from Vegreville(submitted Nov. 2010) to edmonton.... after 11 months of agony of waiting and waiting and waiting, they just transferred it last October of 2011... (reasons? age gap of 32 years, having a dependent child in my home country) we ordered foss notes already and answered every remarks IO put there.... Our first submission was in Nov, then another one in Dec. then another one last month and now we are preparing for Feb. submission.
So frustrating because couple like us who has a genuine marriage suffer because of those bogus ones!

SO UNFAIR!!!!!!!!!!
