Hi,

We just sent off my husband's finger prints to the FBI and now I'm trying to get the rest of the paperwork together as that processes.

I read something that confused me today. I was under the impression that he had to have his medical exam finished before he filed and the results sent in with the immigration package. However, "Medical exam requirements for permanent residents" on the cic site seems to say it is done after you send in your immigration package.

Can anyone let me know when the medical exam needs to be done and sent in?

Thanks so much!

If you are doing an outland application from the US it states that the medical is to be included with the original application.

Some have filed it afterwards, but keep in mind that if they have to request information that will delay your file being processed.....

Read the checklist and include everything that is there, some files have been returned from CIC-M for information missing like a medical form or FBI request

Medical exams are requested after the application has been sent in for other classes of immigrants. For a spousal application, you send the medical in with the app.
