Medicals to be sent to England?

When completing the medical for the application the Dr  in Nairobi -informed us - that all Canadian medicals are now sent to England to be processed - for Nairobi applicants - for Canadian applications...   Has anybody heard of this?  Why would England process a medical of a Kenya who is applying to Canada?

The medical are forwarded to London which act as a regional medical office instead of the one that was in Nairobi before for fast processing. Then they will update the file of the applicant in Nairobi. That is what according to the MD my spouse visited and he said they were notified by Nairobi to send the medical to London for processing.

Thanks for the information - Do you think we should allow the Dr to send them to England without our CIC # as I am waiting for my approval in Mississauga which will be another month and a half. I didn't pay the dr to courier them cause I didn't have a file #.... Or should I just pay the Dr to send it now - with no file #?

Hi CanadaGirl2011,

You can go ahead and let the doctor send the medical to London but you can advice dmp that the visa office responsible for processing application is Nairobi. You can attach the forms that the dmp will issue to be forwarded to the sponsor and forward them to either Mississauga or Nairobi whichever has your file at the moment.
