If my husband's medicals reach one year, will he be given notification that he needs to re-do his medicals?  And if so, when will he be notified, the date that they expire, or just after they make a decision on his application?

My husband took his medicals on September 10, 2008, so I assume that they will expire on September 10, 2009 (one year).

you still have time before his medical expired. Wait until the end of August and if you didn't heard anything than he can do his medical before they asked.

Would there be a difference if he re-does his medicals on his own or if he just waits until they ask him to re-do his medicals?

If they request for my husband to re-do his medicals, would that mean that everything else is finished with and after he re-does his medicals they will issue him his visa?

No. They might still doing background but I doubt it will take such a length time. I have a good feeling that you will receive good news before your husband medical expires or anytime soond.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words Marlena!  I really hope so too.  Like many of you said, this is stressful on the relationship because both of us are getting frustrated at this long wait.  However, just reading your posts and everyone else's posts here offers me some comfort and hope.  So thank you to everyone!!!

what do you mean he hasn't had his medical? The medical should have been done before applying and included in the application.

SadGirl, hope that you will be done before your husband medical expire, but as an advice, if you come to the end of August, and the application still in process, let him go and do the medical, that what I did, I redid the medical in advance, so I won't wast more time over the wasted time already,

Rorita can she do the medical even if they didn't requested or she had to wait until she receives a notice.
