Can anyone please advise me whether I have to carry all 17011 CAD (for 3 Persons)  in cash or cash equivalent when I travel to Canada? Bangladesh Govt. may not allow to carry such a large amount. My lawyer told me proof of fund does NOT have to be cash. A bank  statement will be sufficient but I am not quite convinced. Please advise based on your experience. Thank you.

Hi , better carry 80% of the total amount in CAD draft and rest 20% in CASH.
But just bank statement is not advisable.

Hi, if you have the connecting flight from Toronto to Calgary, you dont need to go to the immigration authorities. Just follow the sign "CONNECTING FLIGHTS". You can too get direct flights from Heathrow to Calgary.

Dear all,

Well I have sent my medicals in July 2011. And by reading previous posts, it mentions the delay in getting PPR might be due to the applicant travelling to another country for visit. If that is true, I applied and got my Schengen visa for Germany two weeks ago, and I plan to go in October. So does it matter if we applied for visa, or it will only matter if we travel outside our country of residence. I am from Pakistan residing in Dubai.

Hi Azfar, your travelling will increase the time of your security checks. And the end result will be delay in PPR.

Hi all,

I have applied for my PR under FSW in Sept'2009 and since then waiting eagerly for my PR.

With god's grace I am done with my medicals on 16 Jul'11 and same is received by LONDON VO on 20 July'11  along with my RPRF fees.

As I keep reading on this forum that it can take 2 years to get an application processed as I am pre June 2010 applicant..is it true that still its gone take that long from hereon? Actually Im already finishing 2 years since the time my application was filed.

Can anyone tell me how long is it gone take now from the time I'm done with medicals to get my passport request...I would request all who have already got visa as per my timeline or who have got their visa's stamped recently from LONDON VO.

Please share ur views....
