Dear Fellow Applicants,
With the Grace of Almighty Allah( Al HAmdo Lelah) I received the passports today with the shiny maple leaf sticker on it. I would like to thanks every one in this forum for their support an encouragement through out the waiting period.
Now the serious thinking about the relocation, job search and settlement issue etc.. started. I will depend on your posts , support and advices to overcome these issues as well.

Hi All,
I found this forum by searching on google, i applied in London CHC in Jan 2007 still no luck. My time lines are below:
After submitting updated schedule 1 form last month i got this reply from them.
We are currently in the process of conducting background/ security checks for this application. This is a lengthy process that can take several months. We will be in contact when there have been further developments with the processing of the file.
What do you guys think? When will i get Passport Req?

Does anyone know how applciants are notified if they need to do additional medical tests?
I did my medicals in July and still waiting for PPR so I am assuming that they may ask for additional tests.

No way. If you had any problems in the medical reports u would have got a re-medical instruction within a months time. I think some background or security check is going on. Best is to e-mail visa office and find out since if by chance a re-medical was send to u and lost in postal dept they could just close the file thinking the candidate is not interested to continue the long journey . So put a case specific enquiry and check ,if u are lucky sometimes next day u could find ur PPR , as it is i had done medicals in July and got my visas also.
Since u'll r a 2007 APPLICANT things might be a bit slow in ur case.
