It is Ottawa. Initially it was UK office, but I was informed that for faster action, it was transferred to Ottawa office. However, medical report needs to be sent to UK office.

I hope your will not get lost. A friend of mine sent to Ottawa, and Ottawa forward her reports to UK office, and it was lost. Poor lady waited 7 months and submitted Medical and Xrays twice.
She received her visa finally.
She is UK citizen and London visa office
She came to CANADA and get married and apply.
total processing time 18 months.

Hi grouvy, I am an Ottawa applicant as well. Once you have done your medicals, you'll be asked to submit your passports. When did you send your docs to Ottawa?

Documents were sent in July and I have been asked yesterday to send the Medicals by 29th September to UK.

Once requested, where would passports be required to be sent for Visa stamping - to UK Visa Office, to Canada Ottowa office or to Abu Dhabi Canadian Embassy (Abu Dhabi is the Regional Canadian Embassy) ? I thought that it is not safe to send passports by Courier and many courier companies do not entertain taking passports. Is it safe to send passports by Courier ? And what happens if a person like me, is a frequent flyer and my present company requires me to travel on business assignments regularly ? How can I manage without a passport ? All these questions are bothering me.

Please advise.

If you have embassy in Abu Dhabi than they'll issue the visas for you. You certainly dont have to send your passports to Ottawa and i believe not to London either. Once you go in person, i takes 2 weeks to issue the visas and a month by post.

Dear....if your application office is london, you will be asked to send passports to london only. Secondly, DHL is offering service for passport delivery to CHC london. I used the same and were delivered in 24 hours safely. Third, it is always mentioned in the PPR, as in my case, 4 to 6 weeks time was asked to stay cool for visa stamping and during this time line, you are compelled to schedule your trips i.e. simply defer. Gud news is i got my visas within 15 days only after passport delivery and received the passports on 21st day i.e. delivered on 9th august and received on 31st august with visa date of 24 aug 2010

Only thing they do is when the visas are stamped, passports will be delivered by CHC to their AUH office from where, mostly ARAMEX is delivering the passports.
Gud luk
