I have applied for FSW. We undergo our medicals me and my wife before delivery of the baby. We now received medicals for our baby, but he has Ventricular septal defect (a hole in the heart). We went to a Cardiac Specialist after birth, he said that the baby is perfect and it is not causing him any problem and hopefully will close by itself (and currently does not require any medications). We went yesterday to complete the medicals for our son and gave the DMD copy of the report we have from the specialis. I am a little afraid and need some answer from similar experiences if any passed through such case please: does this issue affect the application? Can it result in refusing the application? They might request further tests?

thank you for your reply.

Hi Qorax,

Hope you are doing well.

I just want to your valuable reply on an issue.

We did medicals me and my wife 2 months back.

I got a baby boy 2 months back. We have requested CHC London to send us his medical. My son has an issue wiht his heart, VSD. A specialist informed us that this will hopefully close by itself after some time (may be 3 or 4 months or may take more than that).

Will this issue affect the application?

thanks for your reply.

Amer

Hi Amer,

Sorry to hear that... but as I'm not aware of the condition - I might not be able to answer u properly.

However, note that if the condition is not very serious, CIC will not see it adversely. At most they would require u to get a "furthered medical test" done on him - for their Specialist's Opinion - and that would solve the case. Yes, there could be a delay, but no adversity.

Have faith in God !

We did me and my wife the medicals on 28 Sept. 2010 and our son on 1 Dec. 2010. We gave the cardic specialist report to DMP, he informed us that this is a small issue and don't think that such issue affect the application.

Can anyone let me know when shall I expect a reply (either further medicals or PPR or anything other than that)?

Dear Qorax,

It is now more than 2 months since we send my son's medicals (sent on 1 Dec. 2010). We did not hear anything from CHC London till date either positive or negative. If they are going to request for further medicals, they should have done that or it might take more time? Shall I follow up with them regarding my status?

thanks.

No you shall proceed with your medicals. You will only hold the x-ray of your wife until she delivers, she can do it after that, your DMP shall advise you about such issue. The DMP will inform CHC about your wife's pregnancy, CHC will request you to do the x-ray for your wife after the expected delivery dated by no more than 3 weeks. After that they will ask as well for the new born medicals.

Hope the above is clear.
