I was wondering this too, cuz we submitted in November - Medical was done in September - but CIC wont even be processing the applicants part of the package until after september (if the timelines are correct online)

We're prepared to pay again  ...  but I'm not 100% sure what the actual protocol is for it ?

If you've applied Outland, then the medical is valid for a year.  If processing extends past a year, and CIC approves the applicant, they will send them a form to re-do the medical.
