Medicals and Police Check

Hi

When I spoke to Canadian Immigration in Italy, they told me not to send my medical to CPC Ontario as this would be requested later by themselves is this correct?  Also I have been residing in Greece for 7 years and they will not give me a police check as I am not a Greek Citizen, they told me it all goes via the UK.  Is this stupid or what?

1.  You should have followed the instructions on www.cic.gc.ca where it states for spousal applicants you submit the medical receipt up front with the application.  You have just added about 2 months on to the processing time.
2.  Follow the instructions here for a Greek Police Certificate.  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/europe/greece.asp

But here in Greece they seem to have a law of their own!!!  I already asked Italy where they deal  immigration before I sent my application and they told me this is done after,  Nobody knows what they are doing we have been messed about so much here !! I am at my wits end.  Help !!

What would happen if I send my medicals in now? will this still delay our process?
