From what I understand (my wife is the applicant), it is non-invasive.  She did not have to take her clothes off for the exam.

I must ask, however, what the concern is.  If you're sponsoring your spouse, western culture (law, even, in some places) doesn't consider the marriage legitimate unless it has been consummated.  Therefore, if your "wife" is still a virgin, you're not technically married...

The medical exam for immigration is pretty quick and non-invasive: they don't give you a complete physical exam. So they do not do a gynecological exam of a woman, and no rectal exam. And no genital exam for men, either.
So the doctor won't know if the applicant is a virgin. He/she won't ask, either.

Agree with canadianwomen and doctorkb but my experience differs from doctorkb's wife slightly. Technically, you do have to disrobe (the top half) when you do your chest x-ray. I'm surprised she didn't have to do this or maybe he refers to disrobe as, well, everything. Why is this a concern for you?

She had to trade her upper clothes for a gown for the chest x-ray.  That's true.  She didn't have to show anything, nor was she touched there, as far as she's told me.

The medical exam might differ a bit between doctors but most people do get to keep their underwear on.  Canada immigration really does not care if some woman is a virgin or not so that is certainly not a requirement to pass the medicals.

When I received my medical, there was a breast exam (so I did have to take my top off) and the chest X-Ray.  But no gynecological exam.

Not all women are subjected to a breast exam for immigration so I do not even think that is necessary.  I remember a woman saying that for her medical, the doctor had her take off her bra for the whole medical and was staring at her breasts the whole time.  She said he was a creep.  Doctors are people too, there are all kinds of them.

You do not have to believe everything that somebody tells you just because they are a doctor.  If they ask you to do something that you find questionable for the purpose of the visit, it is fine to ask if that is really necessary and especially for immigration, if it is necessary, they should be able to show it to you on their checklist.

My DMP made me take my bra off and he did a quick breast exam. I did it here in Toronto for an inland application. He also made my open my jeans and he pressed my lower abdomen a few times. He saw my c-section scar and he changed one of the answers where it asked "have you had surgery in the past year?" I had answered "NO" and he changed it to "YES". I don't why I felt that question meant some other kind of surgery lol.

My DMP did a quick breast exam, because I listed my FBD (fibrocystic breast disease) diagnosis on the form they gave me.  He also did a quick check of my abdomen as well.  I was very nervous going for this medical, as I do not like seeing any doctors other than the two I have been using since I was 16.  Unfortunately neither of them are DMPs, so I shut my eyes and picked the one closest to home, and he turned out to be friendly and professional and even offered me free medical advice!
