Hi everyone. I want to ask about the medical test.

After 20 weeks, does the office in Buffalo inform you to take the medical test by sending you an e-mail, or by phone, or my normal mail? I am living in Canada and because of the Postal Strikes, I am not sure how the Consulate General in Buffalo will contact me about this.

Anyone who has taken the medical test please let me know. Thanks.

Normally they send the medical/AOR by mail. But at the same time you can see your status online using your file number or work permit client id. Try to login using your client id and if you are still unable to login, means still not in process. Hope this helps..

Hi InEdm. Thanks for replying but I think the client Id is only possible for applicants that sent their documents to the offices within Canada and not Buffalo. I am not sure. But still the reply was helpful.

It took them over 6 months (> 26 weeks) for Buffalo to send me the acknowledgement of receipt/medical request. I applied in Sept 2010

From my experience, I sent my application to Buffalo and was able to login ( first time ) with my client id. This was close to the date of AOR.
