Hello everyone,

My PR visa is in process since September 2010. I got a call from the embassy on the 6th June 2011 and they asked me to come to pick up my visa if I could go to Canada before the 10th of June. As my medical exams expire on the 10th of June.
To me it was ok, but when I went to the embassy the next day to pick up the visa they found out that my wife didn't pay 490$  ‘the PR visa fee' (my wife thought that we didn't have to pay until I get there).
I called my wife and she paid, but at the embassy they said it takes a week to get a confirmation from Mississauga, and that I had to redo the medical exams.
I went to the doctor and did all the tests on the 8th of June.
Yesterday, my application status changed to “Medical results received” but it's still "in process" and I'm wondering now: What's next? When are they going to call me?
Does anyone have an idea please?
Categorie: spouse visa.
Visa office: Rabat Morocco
Thank you in advance.

It states in the guide that if you pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fees after they ask for it, then the whole process will be delayed by upto 2 months. Im sorry to say this but you will have to wait for that much time till the visa office recieves the fee receipt and everything. All the best!

Thanks for your reply.
Do you have a link to the guide where it says: If I pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fees after they ask for it, then the whole process will be delayed by up to 2 months?
The lady dealing with my case didn't mention anything about it, she only said it takes a week to get a confirmation from Mississauga that the fee is paid!

when i got my interview, VO said i needed to redo medicals and pay for RPRF and i ask the VO if that would delay the process, she told me clearly, IT WILL NOT DELAY THE PROCESS AS THEY RECEIVE THE PAYMENT RIGHT AWAY. Next day we paid online we email themvthe copy of receipt to the local embassy and they replied back saying the got it. Apparently this changes depending on the embassy location.

If anyone went thru the same experience and has some info, please let me know!
Hello!  I am in Canada and my husband lives in Morocco.  Rabat received our application on March 31.  On June 27, my husband got a phone call from the visa office.  The lady on the phone asked him several questions.  He asked her if everything was ok with our file.  She said yes.  She told him I did not pay the PR yet and I should send payment asap.  She also asked him to come to visa office to bring more pictures and more emails.

He told her I was coming in one week to spend my vacation time with him.  She said that we would be able to go together in Canada, but I had to pay PR.  She told him to pay online and send the receipt to them by fax.  Which I did a couple of days after.  Since then, we have not heard from them.  But on July 5, our status on ECAS changed to:  "Medical results have been received".  Oh! I forgot to mention when my husband went to visa office to deliver more pictures and emails of us, the officer told him he would receive a phone call in 25 days to let him know of their decision.

Thanks for sharing.
My case was complicated that's why it took them a long time to make a decision. I needed some documents from the UK because I lived there, and I couldn't get them quickly.
Well, I guess they're going to call you this month. Let's hope so Smiley
I got a call today & the lady asked me to go to the embassy on Wed the 20th for a visa appointment > Which we hope it's a good sign.
According to this link, the embassy opens on Wednesdays for issuance of immigrant visa by appointment.

Good luck & thanks again for sharing your case.
