Ontario PNP
Opportunities Ontario: Questions & Answers

Individuals recruited by pre-approved employers benefit from:
  • Priority processing at Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
  • A faster route to permanent resident (PR) status.

I don't know about pronvinces but an applicant with job offer (i.e. Int'l student with job offer stream) will probably experience faster processing as opposed to Masters/PhD applicants (with no job offer).

I must disagree! The province that is leading Canada in terms of job growth is Saskatchewan, everybody knows that. If there is province priority, that must be SK – not AB, ON, or MB. Besides, all PNP applications other than Quebec are treated equally and based on the same assessment criteria for this class. This is mainly the matter of your order in queue and background checks that make your case a little behind.

Manitoba is the province that has approved the highest number of nominations - Manitoba has exceeded the quota allowance by federal government, followed by AB and BC (about 5000 nominations each year) and SK but AB and BC prefer nominees that already settled in Canada, or in the U.S - so there is chance that you see so many people from AB and BC getting processed in Buffalo. Manitoba takes the leading position in CHC Manila because much of the labor shortage in this province has been filled by people from Philippines.

I live in Saskatchewan! I do agree with you to a point that there is a labour shortage..not any more.

The market here has beame saturated, you would not believe to see how many immigrants have flocked to this province in past 12 months. I have been here only for 18 months and i could see a huge difference.
End of theday it is 10 times better then GTA  in terms of job market, but its not he same as it used to be 2-3 years ago....
...
Plus, the market here is small....popullation is only 900,000.........if all of a sudden there r 100,000 immigrants added in 18 months....it will surely tighten things up...its just my opinion...
lets ssee....
We should hear something soon.

HI All
Could anyone please help me. I had applied under PNP ontario. i had applied to federal in jan 2011, got AOR in Sept 2011, med request in sep 2011, med done in sep 2011.I want to know if i want to study( upgrade 2 college courses in order to improve my GPA for a degree later on), do i need a study permit? Also, i had heard once you get the buffalo file number, you are considered as a domestic student and do not need a study permit. Is that true??
Can anyone support this somewhere on CIC website. I tried calling them but it always tells me they are busy and i should try again later.

HELP please!!

If it went to detroit, it is very likely that they will ask for additional documents. No big deal, 90% of the time they ask for your job letter, T4, paystubs bla bla...once you submit that , you will get PPR.
If i were you, I would start working on this papers to cut down the time. It is just my observance that detroit ask for those sort of documents.

Detroit used to refuse my TRV application because I applied way too early lol. They seem to be the stricter of all U.S offices.
