ndhillon, Congrats!! I have identical timelines. I also received the PPR on feb/8th from Buffalo. But, unfortunately I do not live anymore in USA. I moved back to India. I still have a US J1 visa. I am not sure if the visa will still be valid, as I terminated the job in US. Did you submit your passport in-person at Buffalo, and got it stamped the same day? Hi Friends.. my first post here, although I am a regular reader of this forum and this thread especially has been in very helpful in keeping up with the waiting process. I finally got my PPR yesterday and landed at Buffalo today. My status still shows in Process, and the address is still gone, not that I care anymore.. My timeline is as follows: - I sent in my ontario provincial application on June 17th, 2011
- received provincial nomination August 31st
- couldn't send in my federal application till Sept 14 as I was travelling
- Got AOR / medical on october 27th
- couldn't get the medicals done till nov 24th as I was travelling again
- Medicals reached ottawa dec 10th
- Received PPR from buffalo feb 8th
- Visa stamped and landed feb9th

Congratulations folks, I see they started sending ppr to those who submitted their medical in Dec, it could be a sign that they have any kind of system that make sense.

So, does Record of Landing/Confirmation of Permanent Residence is enough if I drive to cross USA Canada border? Or I also need travel documents. Thanks
I'm not sure. As entry to Canada by land is solely controlled by CBSA, I tried to find answer to your question on their website. It just says you require PR card as a resident to travel back ( http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/security-securite/admiss-eng.html).

Hi frotenacs Yes, I just walked in to Buffalo Consulate, stamping there is a fairly straightforward process takes a couple of hours, and another 30 mins back at the border for landing. But don't think you could do that without a valid status or visitor visa for US. Although you might want to explore the option of sending in a Rep on your behalf with an authorization letter for getting your passport stamped.

Congratulations Eng_Mtl, When did you have Medical Results have been received?
I didn't send my passport, but they couldn't keep your passport more than 3 weeks. If you can send prepaid envelope you can track your passport back,

Hey Iamee No, I did not hear anything from buffalo whether they received them or no ,however I emailed RCMP ottawa and they replied to my query after a month that they sent them on sept 13 and was received by buffalo after three days. n yes It does take a while to get response from ottawa.
