I sent Ottawa an e-mail inquiry about my file and on Monday January 30th I received this reply from them.

"Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your message. There are no documents pending on your file. We have finalized your case and will be in contact with you shortly with further instructions.

Thank you for your patience."

I am not sure what these instructions are going to be. And it's already Monday again and I still have not received any new e-mails from either Ottawa or Buffalo. So for those of you whose applications were approved, when did you get your PPRs? After how many days from the date of approval did you get your PPRs? Thanks for replying.

I read somewhere from those of you that received your GCSM/CAIPS notes that when your files were approved, you did not get the PPR on the same date but only a few days later.

I suggest you to go take photos, prepare passport and envelop and ship them off to Buffalo upon receiving PPR.

It is very clear from their message that your case has been completed and the PPR email will be hit within a couple days, or this afternoon.

Congratulations!

thanks Truongan and I hoping so, but I still wonder why it's been six days and I haven't heard anything yet. It feels like something is being dangled infront of me and I can't really grab it. Makes me so nervous.

CoPR/CPR stands for Confirmation of Permanent Residence. You will receive it along with your IMM Visa (imprinted on your passport). You will require both to officially land, become PR and request for PR card.

Here is a detail info re: CoPR...

Distribution of the Confirmation of Permanent Residence Form [IMM 5292B]:
The IMM 5292B is a non-secure, generic document issued to all intending permanent residents. It consists of a blank, three-part carbon interleaved form available through Forms Management on continuous perforated printer stock. The holder's copy (Part 3) includes the pre-printed notation “Not Valid For Travel.” On completion of the examination, the officer disposes of the three parts as follows:
Copy 1 (with photograph and signature but WITHOUT attachments) is batched and sent to the CPC-PRC to be scanned for production of the PR card.
Copy 2 is held for 30 days and then forwarded to NHQ:
                                                                            CIC Records-Microfilm Unit
Jean Edmonds Tower North, 2nd floor
                                                                            300 Slater Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1
(Copy 2 is micro-filmed and serves as the archival record of permanent resident status.)
Copy 3 of the Confirmation of Permanent Residence form is given to the client for information purposes.

Thanks a lot

I got the same and then I got an email from New York saying the file was transferred. Shortly afterwards I got a PPR from New York so do not send your passport before you hear where your file is

Hi guys
I had applied in jan 2011 and medicals done in sep 2011. I havent heard anything yet. I had emailed general enquiry on jan 11, 2012 and got this reply-
Your application is in process. No further action is required by you at this time.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

when i had applied the cic website showed processing times of 11 months and it is already over 12 months now. Should i send a case specific enquiry or an email to catherine bailey?

Please help.
