Hi all,

I got this response from buffalo office today, any comments??

Your application is in process. No further action is required by you at this time.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

e-Cas is for applications processing within Canada only.

Immigration cases being processed in Visa offices outside Canada use a system different from that used to process similar applications in Canada. As a result, the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS)  does not reflect the status of cases being processed in Buffalo.

Do not use the CIC e-Cas on-line change of address system. Your new address will not be downloaded to your file in Buffalo.

Regards,

Its a generic message.

Or they have just changed a few rules and activated ecas for applications processed in Ottawa and Nova Scotia!

That's strange, because my file is in buffalo and my ecas status just changed on Sunday to in process.

so your file is under processing before E-cas change the status. E-cas somehow update later 1 or 2 weeks.

Hi Rossei, after you became PR. are you able to log in E-case anymore? I can not log in.

My friend, she was able to log-in and saw the line " You became a PR on XXXXX" something like that but mine was not.

Sorry, I was little sick and coudn't reply you earlier.

I couldn't log into my e-CAS after I officially landed. So, it never showed me "Decision Made" or "You've become PR" or anything like it. My e-CAS was stuck with regular updates "We've received your app", "Medicals have been received" and "We've started processing".

Did they ask you send passport as well? Likely you get Visa stamping on your passport....

I would suggest you to apply for extension before hand, I am sure they will give you the extension. I had extended my work permit when my AINP was under processing. I got an email as a proof from AINP as refrence that my file is under process and i got the extension for two years of work permit.
