Hey what was the Nov 1st date that u saw on your first GCMS?

That may be the day RCMP release their criminal report Sad Could also mean the day Buffalo review my case again. Either way I think there is slim chance something will happen in October

November 1 is probably your bring forward date...like u said the day an officer will look into your file again. I am sure if by that time they have the security checks done they will issue PPR right after.

lets send an enquiry!

There is no harm of sending an email inquiry to the visa office.

If their reply is " we have requested background information from other government offices, unfortunatly, we are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete"

It means that your application is still stuck with the background check which unfortunaly takes from 1 month to 2 years sometimes.

If their reply is "Your application is inprocess, unfortunatly we cannot provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete"

It means that they have got your background check results, and are waiting to asign the less busier immigration officer to finalize your case.

If their response is "your application is in a final reveiw with an immigration officer".

It means that they have already asigned the case to the immigration officer, and he will be finalizing your case very soon, according to the applications order pending final review.

If you send them an inquiry, please let me know which response you get from them.

sam

How do you send an inquiry?? I have sent many inquires but never receive anything back other than the automatic email.

Got an email from them today  Sad

You must refer to the above file numbers on all correspondence.

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

"In processing and in queue are the same thing, your file has been accepted and created, (processed), it is currently in a queue awaiting initial assessment."

@    zonger: From my experience, inquiries sent to their general mailbox usually get their responses within a couple days . The email is re-buffalo-im-enquiry   @   international.gc.ca , make sure you quote your file # start with EP, not B.

Inquiries sent to specific case email on CIC website will NEVER get response (at least for me)

Go here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/completed.asp

Fill out only IMM5563, check Privacy Act, not Access to Information Act. You can inquire about your own case for free only if you're in Canada under Privacy Act. Select 'email' as method of receiving GCMS.

Send it to ATIP-AIPRP @ cic.gc.ca  or fax to 613-957-6517

You will get GCMS in about 25 days. i did it twice, both successful and a lot quicker than paying for a service to obtain on your behalf.
