don't scare me man. I need my passport back very badly!

Is there anyone here planning to come to Buffalo next week for visa stamping? Can that 'someone' help me to get my passport from Buffalo and bring it back to Canada and mail it to me? I will send an authorization letter.

I am definitely planning to go in person to get PPR  @  Buffalo.

If I get mine soon I will pick yours up for u! lol

I got 10 years multiple entry while on PGWP.

The officers at the US embassy in Vancouver are just very generous. They me a visa 4 years past my passport expiry date. And everyone who were at the embassy with me that day got through in 2 second interview. Definitely apply there

Some nationalities only qualify for 1 year visa unless they become PR of Canada.

Hey, congratz everyone who is getting their PPR! This is so exciting.
 @ TRUONGAN
With a PR, I do not think you will get a 10-year-visa. I had a few friends who only get 1-year visa to US even though they are PR in Canada. It is random and I think it is restricted to 1-year-visa for Vietnamese...

That doesn't work for me then. I already mailed in my passport. You guys should create a network to elect one person to bring everyone's passport to Buffalo for stamping from each region. And that person get compensated for his time, say, $50 per passport.

Processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete.

We recommend that you submit your passport(s) within the next 15 days to the Consulate General of Canada in Buffalo.  You are required to submit your passport(s) within the next 30 days.

Please click on this link and follow these instructions:

Instructions for passport submission

Photographs

You must submit two (2) recent passport-sized photographs of yourself and of each accompanying family member.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)

Every principal applicant and his/her accompanying spouse/common law partner is required to pay a Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) in the amount of $490 CAD or $490 USD.

The RPRF must be submitted in the form of a money order, certified cheque or bank draft payable to the “Canadian Consulate General”. Please write your application number on the back of the cheque, money order or bank draft. The RPRF will be refunded if for any reason you do not immigrate to Canada.

An expiration date will be indicated on your visa, and you must obtain permanent residence on or before that date. The visas cannot be extended. If you are not prepared to live permanently in Canada immediately after your permanent residence is granted, please consult the CIC website regarding your obligations to retain your status in Canada.

The address disappearance phenomenon is actually true. There is something in the processing software that makes the address disappear. Well my address is still there. My application status is In process.

Hopefully everybody else will get their PPR very soon.

2. when did ECAS say that they have started processing your application?
