I made a bank draft of CAD $980 ($490 x 2 persons) payable to “Canadian Consulate General”. It will be written when they request for it. Since both my RPRF and PPR were requested in the same email, I submitted bank draft (RPRF), photo(s), copy of PPR/RPRF email and passport(s) for my wife and myself at the reception of Buffalo.

hi sinor pl guide me this is a new copr from 4th feb 2012
Operational Bulletin 379 - January 31, 2012 Introduction of the Plain paper – Confirmation of Permanent Residence Document Summary
The purpose of this Operational Bulletin (OB) is to introduce a new version of the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) document, designated as IMM 5688.
Effective February 4, 2012, CoPR documents resulting from cases processed in the Global Case Management System (GCMS) will be printed on plain paper, rather than IMM 5292 stock. The new document format will require processing changes. This OB outlines the new document features and updated workflow procedures for issuance and processing of the document.
pl guide me for this what is real meaning for this.... its very urgent
thanks
If you read the whole OB 379; you would have understood. This is just going to replace the existing CoPR http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/medical-results-have-been-recived-and-after-how-many-days-you-got-ppr-guys-t85234.0.html;msg1253215#msg1253215 (IMM 5292). Moreover, when you get your passport stamped with IMM Visa; you automatically receive CoPR. And when you land with it, the IO will process it by himself/herself. You have nothing to do with it. So, why are you worrying? If you are confused re: why this is only limited to GCMS, I can give you some info: CAIPS and GCMS are electronic databases containing all case notes taken by officers abroad, while FOSS notes are those taken in Canada. Since CIC is trying to merge everything into GCMS (electronic); the change of CoPR can be considered as one of the steps. GlossaryCAIPS - Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System GCMS - Global Case Management System FOSS - Field Operation Support System

Hi Nik.p.us I emailed buffalo during first week of jan 2012 and got a generic reply saying- my file is in process and no further correspondence in reqd. I then did a case specific enquiry first week of feb 2012 and got the same generic reply after 2 days. Please wait for a response from case specific enquiry. No reply so far doesnt mean no officer is assigned to you. just be patient.

I am not sure when the ppr will be done, medicals were done on September 2011 and file was transfer on November 2011. It has been almost two weeks since my address is disappear from e-cas.Like many, I also have no choice but to wait. I have heard that the new applicant whose files are being transfer to Ottawa, are done way quicker than any other CIC office at this time. This makes me upset as we have been waiting for more than a year in general. I am really hoping that PPR coming soon, so i don't have to apply again for extension of work permit!! sigh..

Received my visa and CPR from detroit. On my CPR they put that I am single. a month ago, i faxed them a marriage certificate and a copy of my wife's canadian passport but tey did not update their record. I sent them an email last Wed. and I did not receive anything yet.
Is there a problem becaue I got married to a canadian citizen before tey issued the visa?
Here is what I received from detroit office: Good morning, since your wife is a Canadian citizen, this should not cause you any problem. You can mention your marital status at the port of entry. Sincerely,Yessssssss, I am good to go. I am going to do my landing on Saturday at detroit-windsor bridge. Good Luck everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your file is still in standard of processing time, it's better not to bother Ms. Catherine.... Email inquiry again to ask your status might be a better act....

Guys,
Just curious, all of you have this phrase in the MR?
"Processing time Applications for permanent residence in Canada in the category that you have applied to require on average 10 months to process at this office. If you have not received any instructions from this office by 120 days from the date of this letter, you are requested to contact this office directly. "
