Since you applied before jan 2011 I would say u can show your sisters account... Cos when you applied that wasnt a condition .... But the best thing is to send an email to SINP and expalin all these things like u appliedbefore january 2011.. They normally reply in 2 days.. I think u should be ok..
But if you have $10000 in ur account and if you dont mind showing it then just show it...
thnx bro

Question for those of you who reported address disappeared and reappeared again recently, did it diappeared in the morning and came back in the evening?
The reason I ask abt this is because I usually go to work in the very morning and can't check my status at workplace. Once I come back from work there is always evening. SO i don't really know if my address has been disappeared for sometime during the day?

You may follow the following steps to update your mailing address online:
1. Logon into your ecas account.
2. Click on "Update this mailing address" link.
3. Clink on Continue button.
4. Fill up your new home address. In case your mailing address same as home address, select "My mailing address is the same as my home address" option.
5. Click on Continue button.
Personally I have never changed my own mailing address online. So I don't know what will be shown after you finish step 5. My guess is it might be just confirmation dialog about your changes. Just follow the steps to complete it.
This is totally wrong. As long as you send email to them. They already notice and as far as I know, they don't send confirmation on such things. You can not change E-cas address unless you're PR or Canadian Citizen!!! Even I receive PPR request by email, my new address still not yet updated in E-cas!!!

Hello sinpguy or other seniors, just seeking an advise, is it the right time to quit my job upon receiving PPR, coz i'm planning to personally submit it in Buffalo then proceed to the border and enter Canada. Thanks a lot.
If you can wait till you get the landing procedure done it would be better.. Better safe than sorrry..

I know Detroit calls the employer after you send your passport for stamping... But not Buffalo.. But u can never rule out any possibilities... If you really want to quit, may be as soon as the passport is stamped go for a vacation and then give notice to ur employer once the landing is done...
Well waited this much.. So just for a month more wait its not a good idea to leave the job,,

Also at the landing, the IO at POE may ask you a magic question that can ruin all your effort: Are you still working with the same employer? Please show proof of your employment. They do not always ask this but they OCCASIONALLY ask PNPs because most of us apply for PR under employer-drive category. With a growing number of PNPs fleeing out from nominating provinces or employers, POE now has the power to refuse your landing. A complaint call or email from your employer or nominating province may also overturn everything, even if you have your visa in hand. Once you become PR, you are free. I strongly recommend you to wait until after landing.

Hi Tanoshi, My apology in case I was wrong about "Change address" information. But I have found below link on cic.gc.ca website about this matter: cic.gc.ca/english/information/change-address.asp Once you are into above link and click on "Change of Address" online service link, it will tell you in detail about this online service. Hope this helps. Cheers...

I don't know why people want to make it harder, after waiting and dealing with Buffalo office not enough??? We all come for a long way and why make it harder and somehow give bad reputation to PNPs, I know maybe I'm over wording but have you ever thought that some Officers also check these forum, too?

No problem, it's common mistake though, ^^!!! Please note: "If your case is being processed abroad, please contact the Canadian Visa Office nearest you." it's from the link you provided. Further, reply from Buffalo office also make this statement, too!

I thought they notice but uniformly not. I discovered that when i got AOR and Medicals bearing my old mailing add. I called them today and asked me to send a fax of the new address.

They notice but they don't have time for confirmation. As long as you email or fax, keep the copy (receipt "delivered") so we have proof to notice them on the date, etc.
