Police clearances should not be more than 3 months old when received ,but anyways i've heard a lot from my friends they've been asked for this for twice

I don't really understand the logic of this. If person lives and works in Canada why would they need to request another police certificate from his country? Do they really believe that after he applied he might went back to his country, committed crime, got convicted, served a sentence and then came back to Canada to complete his immigration process? That's retarded. Well maybe I'm missing something and that kind of thing really happened, but I personally would be VERY upset if they requested another certificate from me. I lived in different 4 countries and getting certificates from all of them AGAIN would take ages.

I think they randomly choose or something or it's some visa officer doing it.  I didn't see everybody getting it. "misshubby" also got the same request. But I heard police clearance get expired in 3 mon in some countries or 1 year in other.

I just read some info from forums, people have normally replied them stating that it was already submitted with the original application. And they hv the proof ( send a scan copy of PCC).
They will probably reverse their request

If I were you I would probably request them to reverse this, but at the same time start working on new Police Clearance just to be safe.

At least you know your PPR now depends on how fast you react to them.

This could be a precious lesson to those who have submitted PCC along with the application and the PCC has been over one year now as they may be asked to resubmit this document again. While waiting, you could prepare a new PCC.

I am also an October applicant and still no PR.

My ECAS has two lines
Application received on Oct.29, 2010.
Medical results have been received.

Maybe it is good to create a thread for Oct. applicants. I am new to this forum and I do not know how to do it. Anyone form Oct. applicant is interested doing that?

I am interested Kazemed... I applied on 20th oct.. and updated with some or other information to Buffalo 3 times in last 1 year.

I am still waiting for PPR. Current status on eCas we received your application on 20th Oct 2010 and Medicals have been received

I am not seeing my address since Nov 03rd... i dont know what does that mean ?

The questions about Police  clearance been expired!
- I mean i gave them the most latest PCC just before the application. The police clearance does not have an expiry date tho....However, they get expire 3-6 months ...but if you think about it this way, when they say process take 13 months average....everyone's PCC will be getting expired.
right?

I am scanning the copy of my PCC and sending them an email first thing tomorrow morning and will explain them that I had originally submitted. I have not being in india for a while...and my police clearance was done from tor Toronto (indian high consulate)..... they should have brains to understand that even if the PCC is expired, I have not been to my home country after they got the PCC.

I sometimes feel that a 12 year old could be a better Visa officer.
