we are applying inland and I could not find the specifications for the medical photos or how many photos they require.  I know the messurements are different in pr applications for photos than the messurements in passport photos.   Does anyone know what kind and how many photos are required for the medical exam?

The number varies doctor to doctor. Find the doctor you are going to use and call and ask what they require. The one we are using said they need 4 passport photos that are recent (in last 6 months)

The place where we went to get the photos for the medical exam had the specifications in a book behind her counter. My husbands doctor wanted 5 photos, so we had to get 6.
Your doctor will tell you how many they want Smiley

Did you apply inland or outland just out of curiousity.  Did the photographer date the pictures and did you have to sign them?

We applied inland for my husband. He says he remembers signing them at the doctors office, the doctors receptionist or the doctor himself will tell you what to do. I would suggest asking them, they are designated by the gov't of Canada for this and should know exactly what to do... Also, it only cost us about 210.00 Smiley

we are applying outland.

we haven't done the medical yet, but it will cost $190

we had the photographer put the date on the back so we know they are recent and will see what the doctor says about singing them. i recommend calling the doctor first.

The instruction packet says photos in the last 6 months, so I went through my pictures and picked out a handful of recent photos and the receptionist at the doctor's office said, "no. They need to be passport photos."

I argued for a while (I had the instructions with me and it didn't say anything about passport photos), but in the end I lost the argument and went and got passport photos.

Hi wolanila, The size for passport photos is same as that of the PR application photos. You can find the PR application photo specification from the CIC website.
Thanks
