MEDICAL ISSUE QUESTION

Hello,i have a health related quuestion. Basicly im a US citizen and my wife is not, we currently live in the US, and plan to apply to immigrate to Canada. We have enough points, no criminal records, and i can have arrenged employment in Canada but the thing is my wife has health issues which we fear will disqualify us, she has a dignosed rheumathoid arthritis, and enlarged spleen, she is taking medications at current time wich will show in urine test if there is one. My question is has anyone been in a similar situation or knows anyhting about this issue that would give us an advise on what kind of chances do we have. Thanks

First of all, hope your wife recovers soon. May God bless and help her to recover.

Then, when it comes to medical inadmissibility to Canada, CIC specifies two cases for inadmissibility:

1- The applicant health pose a risk to the Canadian community, I.e the disease is contagious
2- The applicant requires intensive health care and poses big burden on the Canadian health system.

For your wife rheumathoid arthritis, the disease is not contagious, so it defeats the first case. For the second case, she might require regular doctor visits, x-rays...etc, however if you prove you are economically well established and can prove you will support her medication, there is a chance for her to pass. In all cases, you have to provide evidences of medical treatment and its history.
