As per advise by the lawyer that help my partner in processing this paper, I had my medical examination last August 2008 prior to our papers being sent to CIC- Missisauga. My partner got approved to sponsor me last December 2008. On January 2009, I received a letter from the embassy office in Manila that they're going to start my application. They asked my original passport, NBI, CENOMAR, pictures and other documents that could prove our relationship. After that, I don't received feedback since then. It will be it's 6 months this coming July as per CIC processing period.

I don't know yet when are they going to give my my visa? If ever they will give it prior of the expiration of my medical, if we base it on the standard? So it means I have to fly to Canada this August already? or what if beyond August the visa will be released, do i still need to have my medical examination again?

I hope you could help me. your reply will be highly appreciated.

Thank you

Hey Vinz,
As far as I know, when they are ready to issue the visa, you need to have a valid medical exam, so if you don't get the visa in August2009, I think they will send you a letter or email to redo your medical.
I my case, I redid the medical without waiting there letter in order not to delay the process, but I have hear in some office, you can't not redo your medical by yourself, the office will send you a specific authorization or something like this to redo the medical.
Good luck
