MEDICAL FOR DEPENDENT PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Can anyone tell  me if there is a problem with the medical report for a dependent(or if dependent is ill) if this will affect my husbands PR even though dependent is not accompaning him to Canada.

No need of medical for dependent if the dependent is not included in the application as accompanying family member.

This is my husbands daughter and immigration insists on a medical. He also has a daughter that lives with his ex 640 km away and they want a medical for her too.
So if there is a problem with results of medical, can they refuse him his PR?

The response is NO. If the dependants don't pass the Medical exam, it does not directly impact your current application and for sure your husband will end up having his PR. I said directly because the dependants might never be admitted in canada due to the current condition ( them being sick).

Yes, the medical should be done for both children. CIC will insist on it, and the hassle if you don't get them done far outweighs any problem getting them in the first place.
Their medical condition will not impact your husband's PR application. Spouses and common-law/conjugal partners will not be refused because they or their children don't 'pass' the medical exam.

Thanks for the info. Another question I have is what he will need to bring with him when they call him to bring his passport for Visa.
Birth Certificate probably, but will he need to bring original Marriage Certificate. Does anyone know if this is required at Accra.
I know that some other offices must have this, but I have never heard of anyone in Accra needing the original.

Hello, there is no need to do medicals for non-accompanying child and we have to submit statutory declaration certificate duly notarized.

Please note however that if the child doesn't do a medical, there will be NO possibility of sponsoring that child to come to Canada in the future if you or your family situation changes.

Yes, you can do it this way. But if the non-accompanying child does not get the medical done, then the parent can never sponsor them to Canada, even if the custody arrangements change - such as the custodial parent dying. As well, CIC really does not like parents to do that. They will do everything they can to more or less force the parent to get the medicals. As a last resort, they will accept a statutory declaration that the parent realizes the consequences of not getting the medical and wants to proceed anyway. But doing it that way usually adds a lot of time to processing.
