Medical Expiration - Retake

Hi, just want to ask lang meron ba dito na pina RETAKE ng medical ng embassy kung mag expire ang medical... For my case, My family completed medical exam on Oct 2, 2010. Both my husband and child pass the exam but I was required to undergo medication under Dr. Esguerra. I was then given clearance by Dr. Esguerra this Aug 2011 and submitted my medical clearance to the Embassy only on August 31, 2011. Now we are still waiting for our PPR...
My question is:
1. Will the Embassy respond before the expiration of the 1 year period?
2. Will we be given an extension? Or are we required to do another medical exam?
3. Will the 1 year period lapsed and denied immigration status?
4. Or have you the same experience that you would like to share?

Note: I was applied by an agency and communication from the Embassy is thru the agency. And after asking for follow-ups from the agency, I was just told to wait. And going through the CIC website, my status is "IN PROCESS" as of the moment I'd check.
