Hi

I received the paperwork to go and take my medical exams, but few years ago I had Hepatitis type B. I was never in a hospital I just have the antybodies that the body produces them after you are OK and its not contagious, I never was. Now my question is will this show up in the exams and will it be any problem for my visa , will I be denied admitance in CAN because of it. I also have fatty liver and have to be on diet, but no meds are required or I'm taking any now. Please respond I'm losing my mind. Thank you all in advance!!!

Dear friend,

If you have antibodies HBS AB (+) it should cause no problem. But if you have HBS AB(-) and HBS AG (+) it means you are a carrier which means contiguous and be a problem. So if you wonder a lot you can take a quick test and see before medicals. Fatty liver should not cause any problems unless you have high ALT, AST levels and fatty liver can't be determined during medicals cause needs USG which is not a routine part of Medical exams DMP does

Hi

Thank you traumasurgeon on your reply. I was trying to find out what kind of antibodies I have. My doctor told me that the hepatitis B, well I was never sick just my body produced antibodies like I was vaccined and that I never was contagious, does that means that I'm OK. They never told me anything like AB(-) or anything like that. What's your opinion on this?My doctor declined me for aditional test saying that it's not necessary.

Thank you for your reply in advance.

It seems no problem. you have antibodies and it protects you and protects other people as well. Take a rest and enjoy the visa
