kediasha, they do not check for ganga. rjessome, the POS and KGN frequently will not accept a medical result without a request. They are quite anal about it actually. A few have gone through a DMP at different locations which were refused and they were sent to KGN DMP. Some were accepted so it seems the IO has as much to do with it as the VO. If the OP's VO will accept one though it may save many months of waiting

Some DMPs think they know more about immigration law for Canada than they really do.  If an applicant is applying through any other class EXCEPT spousal, they MUST have the medical request from the visa office.  I've had clients who had DMPs try to refuse to do the medical without the request for spousal sponsorships.  All it took was a politely worded letter and the appropriate exerpt from the DMP handbook and it was done.

Sorry for those who experience this frustration.  It's not supposed to happen this way.  Keep in mind that if you as the visa office if you should redo the medical without their request they will say NO.  That is because a decision is not made on your file yet so they do not want you to do anything extraordinary or that will cost you money without their request.  So if you choose to redo the medical without a request from the VO, then you are doing it at your own risk without knowing whether or not your application has been approved and at your own expense.
