My mother and father recently applied for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) at the Canadian embassy in Beijing and were informed today that my father requires a medical examination (we expected this as he is over 70 years old).  They told us that the medical exam could take up to 8 weeks to process.   

I'm hoping others out there could share their experience with regards to how long the medical exam process took for TRV applications.

Just a quick update.  My father's medical exam has been approved and was issued a Visa by the Canadian Embassy in Beijing on May 26.
