Dear friends,

My DMP already sent out my medical exam and xrays (xrays were taken at a different place). However my urine test was not with this package. He said to contact him if CIC has a problem with this... to me it seems obvious that they will and will cause some delays! Has anyone else had this happen? I am not sure if I should re-do the urine test, but will it match up with the already sent package? Or should I re-do the whole thing?

Unfortunately, I've already had to re-do my application a couple times due to the waiting game. Hope the rest of you are having better luck!

Hi,

It seems  very silly but can be serious if detected while review by the CIC medical team. The DMP has overlooked the urine analysis, which is an imporartant factor for the medical test. What I suggest according to my opinion, you just wait for any message from CIC. If they also ignored this problem it is well and good. Other wise it is a bad luck,  you have to follow what CIC say, either partial or complete medical..

I think its the same for male and female.  They just look you over, take blood test and urinalysis, and a chest x-ray.  They also ask a ton of questions about your past medical history, etc.  I'm not sure about what it is for a child.

According to the Immigrant's Guide, a medical exam is defined as "any or all of the following":

•Complete physical examination for all family members;
•Chest X-ray and a radiologist's report for everyone aged 11 years and older;
•Urinalysis for everyone aged 5 years and older;
•Blood test for everyone aged 15 years and older;
•HIV testing for everyone aged 15 years and older and
•HIV testing for children who have received blood or blood products or who have a known HIV mother

So to me that says that it is up to the doctor's discretion to include some or all of the above tests. Based on that, it doesn't sound like not doing the urinalysis will be an issue. I would just wait to see if CIC does in fact have an issue with it and re-do it at that point if they request it.

Wilson and Ariell,

Thank you. I was supposed to have the urine test done but the DMP was unable to read my test results and therefore disregarded the test. Other than that I have no serious health issues. I hope all goes well.

Hi. I hope someone can answer my question.  Smiley

SCENARIO: I mailed my spousal sponsorship documents including my spouse's passport and IMM 1017(proof of medical examination) and forms needed to CPCM. Will there be a difference in processing times or no? Can't access e-CAS yet because the last time I checked, they're still processing applications received on OCT 27, 2011. Mine was received on Dec 6, 2011 and I have not yet received an Acknowledgement Letter from CIC. I am just wondering, since I already submitted everything (coz I followed their checklist), will my spouse's passport be returned to me (and later send PPR) or will they send it out to Manila Visa office in case I get approved?

Nakakapraning. Smiley Please post a reply. Smiley
