Hi guys! I just wanna know if we need to have a separate test for HIV/AIDS?  Is the medical exam is the only medical exam or test that we need to undergo?

Thanks.

They test for HIV during the medical exam. More tests and exams can also be ordered if any serious health problem is found.
However, an applicant who is being sponsored as a spouse or partner will not be rejected for being HIV positive. Spouses and partners are excessive-demand exempt. Other classes of immigrants - the economic classes - can be rejected if the applicant or their dependents have a disease or condition that will cause excessive demand on Canada's health care system.
