I have a question regarding the medical exam for my wife, we will send our application soon and the instructions are not clear to me on CIC website. Does my wife have to pass a medical exam BEFORE i will send our appplication to CIC or the visa office in her country will call her when its time to have a medical exam AFTER CIC sent her application to the visa office in her country?

thanks

Spousal applicants take the medical examination BEFORE as there is a form from the medical that must be submitted as part of the application.  See the document checklist for spousal applicants for confirmation of this.

If your going the spousal route you have to have the medical before you send off the application, the DMP wont tell you your results unless there is something they think you should know about, as when its sent to the VO and they look at your file they will make the decision if the applicant needs further tests.  Smiley
