Meaning of 'Final Review'

Hi Qorax / other seniors,

I had submitted my medical+rprf+pp in July to CHC N Delhi and recently on sending an enquiry have got a response from CHC that the file is pending final review and a decision by the visa officer.

What is final review and when can I expect the visa to be issued ?

If you can kindly explain.

I am also in the same boat as i have submitted RPRF/PPs/Med on 6th Sept 2010.I cant understand that some people get their visa sofast and some case take longer.see the case of Madhumati/Mpadhya/Waiting4pr(17 days only) they got their visa so quickly. and in the caase of shubash it has been t.5 months but no visas.

I am not sure what they do in final review but many a times we have seen on forum that after passport is send and there are delays from CHC they give the standard response that it is awaiting final review. But in all cases the final outcome was positive

Ya, Agree with ankit,
I have  seen very few rejections at this stage.but time variations are conman. usually one to 3-4 month.

Yes like Shubhash also mine is more than 2 months.

Any one else who is waiting for more than two months ?
