Good night, I am a new member ver interested in ade Federal Skilled Worker program, I have a step-aunt in Canada, she is canadian citizen, but she is the sister of my stepmother (wife of my father) my stepmother has been care me since I was a baby, (i never met my true mother). I met very well my step-aunt because she lived in my city many years and she was very close to me.
The question is May I consider as a relative de sister of my stepmother? Could I prove a close relationship between us, i don`t know maybe sending the married certificate of my parents, a letter written by her o some pictures of us??? Is it possible??? i am ver worry about that. Please answer me.

Thanks

Hi, I believe you could. Just provide the marriage contract of your Step mom and dad plus the marriage contract of your step mom's parents. Give the embassy a visual presentation how you are related. Its really worth a try. Seniors please advice  Smiley

I am afraid it will not be able to get you the 5 points for adaptability for relative factor.

I do not think you will get the points since this is the sister of your step-mother, not your mother but you can still try it.  Everything is worth a try.  Are you short on points?

What a pitty, but in the Australian Inmigration Program the stepaunts and stepuncles are consider as a relative, is a very sad notice that in Canada is not the same.
