On any cic issued document, for example work permit, student permit etc. Basically the document that legally  allows you to stay/live in Canada.

Hi Everyone

I applied under CEC and they received my application on May 8th, banked my money order on May 16th but I still haven't received my ARO yet.  I have looked at some timelines on trackitt.com and hopefully it will come through early Aug (looks like it's taking about 3 months).

My question is that I had the Buffalo office down as my visa office but as this is closed it will now go to Ottawa.  They have told me on the phone I can get it transferred to another visa office including Australia.  Has any one had any experience in sending their applications for PR back to Sydney office in Australia.  I heard the time frame is quicker.  I have tried looking for processing times but can't seem to find so if anyone has a link to show me that would be great.  I am prepared if I have to go for interview to fly home (gives me an excuse to go visit my family, yes it will be costly but worth it).

Any info would be helpful as to whether it is a good idea to have my file transferred.

Thanks
J.

more June Applicants getting AORs
There is a month that is optimal and a month that is the worst to apply in. It seems May is the worst as it is just before the June-July vacations. they come back and they find a pile of June-July applicants, and they shelf May applicants.
I just got an e-mail from the Minister's office himself after I sent asking him about his fairness, he said
:"Please be assured that Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) reviews all applications objectively and consistently to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all applicants"
yeah I beleive him. Like I was born yesterday. their whole system is as if made by children  Angry

Hi Islington,

Can you guide me how to inform CIC about my newborn baby ?
Since I am waiting for my file number (AOR) to correspond.
I know you have same issue.

Thanks

Hi Always.Asif,

As per the CIC agent I called,I've e-mailed all the documentation of my newborn to the Ottawa Office (since the Buffalo office is closed). They sent an automated e-mail back to confirm that they received my message. That's all I did, no answer, no file number yet....:-(
