Happy anniversary and happy finally-putting-the-ball-in-their-court. I sent mine April 29th. Don't know if it's been received yet (it wasn't priority). So I'm a May 2011 and happy to meet my fellow waiters.

Hi there. I may have a similar issue as you had. I sent my application from the UK via royal mail, signature required. I posted it on 28apr and on 01may the website said it arrived at customs and on morning of 02may was at missigua postal facility for processing. No update since. The website says not to bother calling as the agents only have access to the same info. How did you go about finding what went wrong and how to fix it? Or am I just being incredibly inpatient and nothing's wrong with it sitting at the same location for 5 days?

I sent mine through Parcelforce on the 26th April addressed to the PO Box address. On 28th April , delivery was refused by the addressee and my parcel was returned to the depot. It took me 6 days to find out why. Parcelforce kept saying it was because it was addressed to a PO box but after contacting FedEx (who deliver for Parcelforce in Canada) I found out the real reason was because there was customs tax to pay on it. So I paid the customs fee over the phone on Wed 4th May and they redelivered on the 5th May. It was very stressful but I'm glad it got there in the end! I would advise you to find out who Royal Mail use to deliver your parcel in Canada and provide you with the parcel's tracking number used by the delivery company in Canada You can then contact the delivery company in Canada for proper information on why it's being held up and address any issues.

Thanks, Royal Mail told me the tracking number is valid for Canada Post which would be responsible for it in Canada. The tracking number isn't valid with parcel force or fed ex so will get hold of Canada Post. This is so frustrating!

Hey Everyone, Well I finally get to join in the waiting game with everyone else. I just sent my package today, my gosh, what a load off my shoulders. What a stressful day, almost didnt get it out, only had the P.O Box, but i searched and searched the old messages and found the mailing address. Not sure wether I'm more nervouse now that its out of my hands and in the hands of UPS to get it there. Or when it was a big pile of papers on my desk. Nonethless, super happy that its finally out Now to wait and see.....

It is a good feeling to send everything away! There seems to be so much variation in processing times so now we're left hanging, hoping for some news.
Good luck to everyone in the May group :-)

It's a nice feeling to finally send it off and get it delivered. But I'm not finding it any less stressful I keep thinking "have I sent enough?" , "should I have done it this way instead?" or even " should I have said this instead of that?"

Hi guys, not officially a May member yet - but going to post it tomorrow so hopefully I will be back here in 24hrs to officially become a "May-bie". One thing bothers me from reading the thread - that some have had to pay a customs tax! Why would there be customs tax to pay on the parcel? It's a bunch of documents surely, there are no 'goods' of any 'value' as such in there? That's another thing to worry about now

Indeed. It's just one bunch of stressors going away but another bunch of stressors taking their place. We breathe a sigh of relief after we drop it off at the post office, but we continue worrying for some time to come. It's a nice feeling to finally send it off and get it delivered. But I'm not finding it any less stressful I keep thinking "have I sent enough?" , "should I have done it this way instead?" or even " should I have said this instead of that?"
