I am thinking about this matter why our money as May applicants is not encashed yet ..... and came to an idea which might be possible ...,. I do not think that officer checking our documents will go to encansh money by himself rather they would gather CC and DD and send them with a mail courier ... and currently there is strike for mail employee so it is possible that this is the cause of delay .

i dont think about strike in cic? there is no strike culture in canada.
friends, pls dont make any stories about it.
it will really effect credibility among ourselves.

I think they have their reasons when saying that. You can look at the notification here at CIC:

I cheked my cc everyday but not charged.

Dont know why its taking time to encashed DD and CC, but there is strike going on in Canada post not in CICCCCC which was mentioned on CIC website itself. there is no need to get emotional please have patience. |

I read from another thread that there is an ongoing strike in their postal service (not CIC employee). Maybe it can affect us one way or the other.

isidra, have you taken the option of credit card or dd? if it is cc, you will have a sms from the bank while taking cash from your cc. dont worry about that  we all send our application thru courier service. is not it? we dont depend on canadian postel service  be coooool and hope for gud news very soon shijoal |

CANADA POST is conducting rotating strikes in different cities all the time. Victoria and Hamilton are the latest to be hit. I don't think a strike conducted this way will have much impact on CIC applications being sent to VO.
Anyone who is using Credit Cards for their fees, be sure to inform your institution that you are EXPECTING a charge from Canada on your card so they do not block it as an unusual occurance.
